Paving the way for cancer research with Huntington Bank and Pelotonia

Philadelphia Sign: Paving the Way for Cancer Research Through Partnership and Personal Dedication with Huntington Bank and Pelotonia

Philadelphia Sign, part of the PSCO Sign Group, proudly stands as a committed partner in the fight against cancer. Philadelphia Sign significantly contributes to innovative cancer research through its long-standing collaboration with Huntington Bank, which has a proud and extensive partnership with Pelotonia. This powerful alliance has played a crucial role in raising over $45 million for The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC – James) since 2009.

Evolving Fundraising Strategies

Huntington Bank has strategically evolved its fundraising approach for Pelotonia, moving beyond traditional events to cultivate deeper engagement with its vendors. This commitment culminated in the launch of the Huntington Pelotonia Night of Impact Partner Event. This pivotal initiative debuted in 2024, gathering diverse industry vendors, Huntington leaders, and Pelotonia representatives.

Huntington Fundraising Event

The Huntington Pelotonia Night of Impact Partner Event successfully raised over $750,000, providing attendees with invaluable insights from cancer research experts, exclusive tours of OSUCCC – James labs, and opportunities to join Team Huntington. Building on this success, Huntington Bank hosted the event again in 2025 with an ambitious goal of raising $1.5 million, effectively doubling its reach to over 30 vendor companies and offering an even more immersive experience with key speakers and direct conversations between executives, researchers, and contributing partners.

Beyond Corporate Partnership: Personal Dedication

Philadelphia Sign’s commitment to Pelotonia extends beyond corporate partnership, emphasizing direct involvement in their initiatives. This dedication was powerfully showcased at the Pelotonia Ride Weekend when Dan Rugg, a senior project manager at Philadelphia Sign who also works on the Huntington Bank account, personally participated in the event. Flying in from California and renting a bike, Dan rode an impressive 50 miles, embarking from New Albany and traversing through the historic towns of Granville, Newark, and more.
